Home schooling Finland - education in covid19 times
May 31, 2020
Finnish entrepreneur Samuli Holopainen started the project Home Schooling, many schools were closed and children were homeschooled due to covid19 in Finland. Most schools were not prepared for this problem and solutions on how to get this done, this results in some kids having trouble in the new learning environment. Among troubles we have: getting easily distracted, anxious, not motivated. This is intended to spread to other countries as project grows, it is supported by IGDA Finland.
My Role: I was invited to be UX designer, art support, product design support for the first stage of the project, also registered the project to participate in a Hackathon for covid19 as there were mentors that could guide us on the vision and execution of the project. I felt very enthusiastic to participate in this project as I love educational projects and Finland is well known for having the best education in the world.
In other side, I also collaborated with Samuli in the art of one of the first games of the project, a Finland Geography game. I did the character design and illustrations for the game. Please check them in the Gallery.
My first Hackathon - HUG OF THE SOUL - ABRAZO DEL ALMA
April 30, 2020
I've got deeply moved by the suicide of a nurse in Italy during the covid19 crisis. I feel the load healthcare workers are bearing is more than what a human being could stand, the lack of resources because of exponential increase of cases and issues in the health systems make them take the difficult decision of who to help and who is left to die. As a Christian and human being I wanted to share the pain and give comfort as much as possible. Then, in the Hackathon I met great people from the US, the UK, India and Germany with the same vision as me. The goal of the application is to connect specifically doctors / nurses with mature christians or therapists that can support them in these times of distress, create a social support movement. Sometimes you just need to be listened or someone with whom to share your grief.
Please check the link to the project to access the prototype, description and pitch. I also have a case studio where I display all the process of designing this app from idea to first prototype.
I've got a development team for the project, but there are no funds to develop it. Please if you know about any funding resources get in touch.

I started Comic in blogging!
May 12, 2016
Hey! I just decided to go for it! Converting all the ideas on Comics, let them just flow! this is just the beginning! As much time as I have I'll spend on developing this idea. It's based on anecdotes of several people, deep studies about Prophecy, Bible and spirituality. How many times have people tried to guess the end of the world and they miserably failed? Does it mean it is never going to happen? Should we care? Should we just don't care? I invite you to give a look to this story and learn about it. Hope you like it!
I started using blogger as platform, but please feel free to suggest other platforms that could be more suitable :)

The biggest Mosaic wall in Cochabamba
April 30, 2015
During 2014 and 2015 I worked along with 7 other young artists in the design and construction (yeah, physical) of the biggest mosaic wall from my city, Cochabamba.
The project was made as part of the project "Dejando huellas" from Cultural Institution "Centro cultural Semilla". I will update further with details about the work done and participants.
Inspired by the Trencadis on the Master pieces from Antoni Gaudí, both mosaic walls are composed of several pieces and also some of them combine entire ceramic pieces cut as puzzles making an innovative contribution to the technique.
Invitation to the event here in case you can attend :)
Fulfilling one of my dreams of life: making animation
April 30, 2014
My sister and I dreamt about making cartoons since the moment we saw a documentary from Walter Lantz about the process of animation for Woody Woodpecker. During my childhood I created full notebooks of comics, also won painting, writing and musical contests. All these valuable skills were archived when I started studying Computer Science, because no... there was no academy or artistic career path in my country. I finished the career and worked in the Software industry as QA Automation and some web development in my early career, I did my best at work but I still felt something was missing.
Then, in 2014 I found out about a unique scholarship given to 20 chosen artists from Bolivia to teach them animation with The Animation Workshop Denmark and Simon I. Patiño cultural center. I did my best to prepare a reel with my works and exhibitions, then I was invited to the interview and I put my heart on it and I won the scholarship! I was the only female engineer among the selected.
I quit my job and pursued this scholarship in La Paz. Our final project were two short animations in 2D and Stop motion.
I participated in doing animations, character design, design of scene background (the pigsty). Finally, I made my dream of childhood come true. My adulthood dream is making a living of what I love to do :)
